Larne's Europa Conference League campaign continues tonight with a hugely difficult tie in Portugal.

The Invermen are away to F.C. Paços de Ferreira in the 3rd qualifying round.

So far, they've impressed by overcoming Welsh opposition in the form of Bala Town, and then massively upsetting the odds by dumping out Danes Aarhus.

Manager Tiernan Lynch said: "We absolutely love it. We love the work that goes into it, looking at their key players and trying to break them down. This is a dream come true for us."

However, this next round will be the biggest challenge by some distance.

F.C. Paços de Ferreira finished 5th in last season's Primeira Liga in Portugal, surpassed only by Sporting CP, Porto, Benfica and Braga.

"When you get a new team, there's a lot of work that goes into it, understanding how they play, and their personnel. Hours and hours of preparation, but this is why we work so hard all year, to put ourselves in situations like this so we have to enjoy every minute of it," said Lynch.

If Larne can defy all expectation and produce a massive upset over the 2 legs, then Premiership club Tottenham Hotspur are waiting in the next round.
