Irish Premiership: Linfield edge out Glenavon after late late show
Last updated 19th Oct 2022
Linfield got back to winning ways last night (Tuesday) at Windsor Park - just four days after defeat to Big Two rivals, Glentoran.
David Healy's side beat Glenavon 3-2 - but needed a strike just minutes from time from sub Eetu Vertainaen to claim all three points.
The Blues got off to a great start with a Kirk Millar goal but Glenavon responded with a double from Matthew Fitzpatrick.
Joel Cooper then equalised before Vertainaen hit home in the 87th minute.
The Blues move up to sixth in the Irish Premiership table as a result with Glenavon ninth.
