Irish Premiership: Larne in driving seat with another big result
The leaders are now 10 points clear and within touching distance of title
Larne are edging closer to a first-ever top-flight league title.
Last night (Monday) they beat Cliftonville 2-0 at Solitude to go 10 points clear of second-place Linfield who host Glentoran tonight in the Big Two derby.
If the Blues lose that game then the Irish Premiership trophy will be heading to Inver Park.
Lee Bonis opened the scoring for Larne midway through the first half with Joe Thomson bagging the second just before the hour mark with a finish from the edge of the area.
Elsewhere, Crusaders won 3-1 at home to Coleraine.
At the bottom half of the table Newry City picked up vital points with a 1-0 win over Portadown.
Glenavon, in seventh place, beat Ballymena 3-2 while Carrick had a 2-0 victory over Dungannon Swifts.
