Henry tips Ulster to hit form as they target European quarter final
With Ulster's European Champions Cup fate to be decided on Sunday, flanker Chris Henry is backing the province to hit their stride at the right time in the season.
Ulster are on the verge of a place in the quarter finals for the first time since 2008.
Victory away to Wasps will guarantee a spot in the last 8, with a bonus point win making sure of a home draw.
"In past years we've hit our form really early in the season and we haven't really kicked on and peaked at the right times.
"This is a year where I'm staying positive and imagining that we can peak at the right time. If we play the way we can, get our set pieces right, get the basics where we need to be, then we've got x-factor players," said Henry.
"Making the quarter final has been on my mind constantly for the last 2 weeks. We're sitting here in round 6 with a chance and it's been a long time since we've been at the top table. I have massive confidence in the team, and the management.
"There's been so much hard work put into it, it would be such a shame if we don't go out and put in a performance we can be proud of."
Ulster's progression could be dependent on several other permutations, should they fail to win.
However, Pool 1 fixtures don't take place until the end of the weekend, and Henry believes this works in their favour.
"When you play those games earlier in the weekend, it's tough watching and waiting for the other results to come in. So we know we need to go with the same focus, go and win the game. It's in our hands," said Henry.
