Glenavon stay third after being held at home by Dungannon Swifts
Lurgan Blues miss chance to go top after late McElroy strike
Glenavon missed the chance to go top of the Danske Bank Premiership after being held 1-1 at home to Dungannon Swifts last night.
Bobby Burns put the Lurgan Blues in front just before the break and they looked to be heading for the top but Paul McElroy equalised with just four minutes to go.
It means Glenavon stay third while Rodney McAree’s side move into the top six.
There are four games today with a couple of tasty ties in the offing.
Ballymena take on league leaders, Coleraine in the big north coast derby while Cliftonville entertain Linfield at Solitude.
Elsewhere, Warrenpoint desperately need to pick up points soon and they will be hoping to start today with a home game against Carrick.
Finally, Ballinamallard play Ards.
