Carl Frampton returns to Belfast tomorrow night, confident of a victory over Andres Gutierrez that would propel him towards another world title.

A win for the Jackal against the Mexican provides another crack at a major belt, with the Belfast fighter eventually eyeing another shot at Leo Santa Cruz in what would be their third contest.

However, his focus has centred on Gutierrez, and making sure his hometown crowd aren't sold short.

Having already declared that defeat could 'end his career', Frampton has made no secret of the importance of this fight.

"I could have went away, I could have fought in the United States, and I could have made more money. I could have been up against big names again - but this kid Gutierrez is someone Leo Santa Cruz has turned down several times. He's a dangerous fighter," said Frampton.

"I didn't want to fight a mug and take advantage of the paying public in Belfast. This is going to be a good fight."

Just as important as entertaining a packed SSE Arena will be the opportunity to remind the world of boxing that Carl Frampton hasn't gone away just yet.

"I still believe I'm a big name, and if I beat this guy, then I'm straight in for a world title."
