EUROPA CONFERENCE LEAGUE: Larne to meet Cliftonville in play-off final
But there was controversy at Solitude when Crues spot-kick was denied
Larne will take on Cliftonville for a place in next season's Europa Conference League.
In the semi-final play-offs last night (Tuesday) Larne beat Glenavon 2-1 while the Reds edged out Crusaders in a controversial shoot-out.
With the first nine penalties scored at Solitude, Crues defender stepped up to take his spot-kick.
It struck the cross-bar but replays showed it did roll over the line. However officials ruled out the goal and Cliftonville won 5-4.
In the other game at Inver Park, Larne struck late through Martin Donnelly (main pic) to leave the Lurgan Blues distraught.
Tiernan Lynch's side now meet Cliftonville in a winner-takes-all match on Saturday.
The kick-off at Inver Park - 5.30pm
