The Belfast Giants beat Manchester Storm 6-5 in overtime last night (Sunday) to stay four points ahead in the Elite League.

But it was nervy end to the game for Adam Keefe's side after they let a 5-1 lead slip,

Four goals in quick succession from the Storm levelled the score before a breakaway Mark Cooper strike sealed a crucial win for the Giants.

Having beaten Dundee Stars 4-1 on Saturday, the Giants now have 72 points at the top of the standings.

That means they preserve their lead over the Sheffield Steelers but their rivals do have a game in hand.

Next up for the Giants is a double header weekend against the Nottingham Panthers.
