Dr McKenna Cup: Derry to face Tyrone in final

Derry will meet Tyrone in the Dr McKenna Cup final after Rory Gallagher's side beat Down 3-2 in a penalty shoot-out in last night's (Sunday) semi.

The game at Pairc Esler had ended in a 3-9 to 1-15 draw.

Then it was on to spot kicks with Conor Doherty scoring the winner to send the Oak Leaf county through.

Meanwhile, Tyrone booked their place in the final on Saturday with a 0-15 to 0-10 win over Cavan at Breffni Park.

The final will take place on Saturday at the Athletic Grounds.
