Commonwealth Games: Mageean takes Silver in 1500m
Portaferry athlete Ciara Mageean has won a Silver medal in the 1500 metres at the Commonwealth Games.
The 30-year-old produced a season's best time of 4:04.14 - to finish in the runners-up spot just behind British record holder and favourite Laura Muir.
Afterwards Mageean said: "It feels absolutely fantastic.
"This is my third Commonwealth Games to come out and finally win a medal is amazing and come back with some hardware and to bring this back to Northern Ireland is just fantastic.
"I'm over the moon with it."
