Seaforde swimming star Bethany Firth has made history at the Commonwealth Games.

The 26-year-old picked up Northern Ireland's first-ever Games Gold in the pool.

It was also Team NI's first Gold medal of these Games.

Firth won the 200-metres freestyle S14 final.

She finished just ahead of England's Jessica-Jane Applegate.

Meanwhile, Armagh's Daniel Wiffen won Silver in the the 1500-metres freestyle - taking six seconds off his own Irish record in the process.
