Crusaders forward Paul Heatley believes they have finally found their mojo and are still very much in the Danske Bank Premiership title race.

The 31-year-old was speaking as a guest on our latest BetMcLean Football Show (in partnership with NIFL) now available to view on Cool FM’s Facebook page (see link below) and to download as a podcast.

He says the Crues are getting back to their very best and challenging for league honours.

“It’s never over until it’s over – the neutral would probably say it is.

“But for Crusaders it’s keep going until you’re dead.

“The start of the sason was tough for us all – big changes around the club huge development going on – on and off the field and it certainly took its toll a little bit.

“But we started to settle down after a couple of months and we started to really kick on and get some really nice results and great performance more importantly

“Thankfully, we have turned a wee corner and hopefully that continues right until the end of the season.”

Heatley also revealed the special bond at Seaview.

And he said manager Stephen Baxter attracts a special type of player – not just based on talent.

“To be honest I haven’t played for a great deal of clubs but anyone who comes to crusaders will tell you it is such a unique environment,” he said.

“For the vast majority it is the right attitude, the right mentality, the right behaviour and most importantly the right ability.”

Also guesting this week is Larne midfielder Jeff Hughes.
