The Antrim star loses to John Higgins in a dramatic frame decider
Mark Allen's World Championship title dream is over.
The Antrim star suffered the heartache of losing a tense deciding frame 71-62 to John Higgins at the Crucible last night.
The 13-12 defeat means Allen is still searching for a maiden title.
For Higgins, it will be his 18th quarter-finals appearance.
He will now face Kyren Wilson.
Elsewhere, World Number One Ronnie O'Sullivan eased into the last eight, with a 13-7 victory over Ryan Day.
He is now bidding to reach a record eighth final.
