All-Ireland SFC: Armagh lose quarter-final on penalties
Armagh are out of the All-Ireland Senior Football Championship.
They lost 4-1 on penalties to Galway at Croke Park yesterday (Sunday).
In a thrilling and often ill-tempered encounter the two sides could not be separated after extra-time with the score Galway 2-21 to Armagh 3-18.
Then, Matthew Tierney scored the decisive penalty to send Galway through to the semi-finals where they will face Ulster champions, Derry.
Meanwhile, the game was mired in controversy as both sides had a man sent off at the end of normal time following a brawl.
