Cliftonville up to third with Ports win as Linfield go within five points of leaders Larne
Joe Gormley notched a hat-trick on Saturday as Cliftonville beat Portadown 4-1 in the Danske Bank Premiership.
Gormley was too hot to handle for the Ports on a bitterly cold afternoon. A late Ronan Hale strike completed the north Belfast side's scoring.
Greg Moorhouse had opened the scoring on 11 minutes.
David Healy's Linfield are within five points of pace-setters Larne on Saturday night.
That is after they beat Dungannon Swifts 4-0 at Windsor Park.
Chris McKee put the Blues ahead, before Eetu Vertainen doubled the advantage by the break.
In the 50th minute Cameron Palmer made it three for the Blues, with the fourth goal coming from substitute Liam McStravick.
