Ulster were left to rue letting a five-point lead slip on Saturday afternoon at the Stormers claimed a 17-15 win in their URC semi-final.

Robert Balacoune and Stewart Moore had undone the early Stormers damage to give the visitors an encouraging 15-10 advantage.

Then when Adre Smith was sent-off it looked as if the Stormers had blown themselves out. But that was not to bank on Manie Libbok's conversion of a Warrick Gelant try to allow the Stormers to grab victory from the jaws of defeat.

It was tough on Ulster who will see their trophy drought - which goes back to 2006 - continue. The Stormers will take home advantage into their final against the Bulls in Cape Town.

The Bulls saw off favourites Leinster on Friday.
