Yellow warning for snow and ice issued for Northern Ireland ☃️❄️

De-icer at the ready, two separate yellow weather warnings for snow and ice come into effect this weekend, with forecasters warning slippery pavements and travel disruption is likely.
According to The Met Office; "Rain, sleet and snow showers will move in across parts of Northern Ireland overnight, 1-3 cm of snow could accumulate at low levels with 5-10 cm of snow accumulating over higher ground. Clear skies between showers will also bring the risk of black ice."
Expect a widespread frost overnight with icy stretches forming quite widely.
Further snow showers are forecast for overnight Sunday, which could fall to lower levels causing disruption in the south east of the province.

This Evening and Tonight:
Wintry showers will remain quite frequent across the north giving some fresh accumulations mainly over higher ground. Few showers reaching Armagh and Down with clear spells. Minimum temperature -3 °C.
Saturday:
Wintry showers across the north becoming more confined to coastal areas in the afternoon, while the south stays dry with some sunny spells. Maximum temperature 4 °C.
Outlook for Sunday to Tuesday:
Sunny spells and isolated showers on Sunday. Dry with some sunshine on Monday then cloudier on Tuesday with some rain.
