When will it be hot and sunny again? Here's what the Met Office says

June has started of with a mixed bag of unsettled weather, brisk winds and temperatures well below average.
But, looking further ahead, The Met Office predicts the return of warm and sunny conditions in its long range forecast.
"Next weekend and into the start of the following week, should see dry and bright weather return to northern areas of the UK, many parts will become warm, perhaps very warm, particularly northwestern areas."
Stock up on sunscreen as summer could be back on course next week.

NORTHERN IRELAND FIVE DAY FORECAST
Monday - It will be a dry and bright day with some sunny spells. The best of the sunshine will be early and later in the day. Winds will remain light. Maximum temperature 17 °C.
Tuesday - Dry bright morning with early sunshine in the east. Then cloudy with a few showers breaking out in the afternoon followed by more persistent rain in west during the evening. Maximum temperature 16 °C.
Outlook for Wednesday to Friday:
Rather cloudy on Wednesday with scattered showers, some heavy especially in the east. Drier weather following for Thursday and Friday with sunny spells. Strengthening northeasterly winds.
With schools off and lockdown measures beginning to ease it's the perfect opportunity to enjoy some time in the garden or exercise in your local park, while social distancing.
During lockdown Northern Ireland has seen some record-breaking weather including the sunniest month on record in May.
