Northern Ireland's good weather is forecast to end tomorrow as a weather warning for rain has been issued by the Met Office.

Forecasters are warning of potential downpours as thundery showers could bring localised flooding to parts of the the country during Friday and Saturday.

"An area of thunderstorms across England and Wales is expected to move northwestwards towards Northern Ireland. These are likely to bring torrential rain to some places with 30-60mm falling in a few few hours. Frequent lightning and large hail are also possible."

The Met Office's weather warning comes into affect from 09:00 on Friday lasting through until 22:00.

It's going to be a mostly wet start to weekend – but we might see some sunshine later on Saturday and Sunday with signs of things brightening up again into next week.
