Thunderstorm warning in place this weekend across Northern Ireland

As the temperatures are expected to hit the early-mid twenties this weekend, forecasters have issued a weather warning for thunderstorms across Northern Ireland.
The weather warning is in place from 12pm to 9pm on Sunday (11th June) across all counties.
According to the Met Office: "High temperatures on Sunday will trigger a scattering of showers across the warning area, some of which are likely to be torrential and thundery, perhaps bringing a few places 30-40 mm in an hour."

There is a small chance that homes and businesses could be flooded quickly, with damage to some buildings from floodwater, lightning strikes, hail or strong winds
Where flooding or lightning strikes occur, there is a chance of delays and some cancellations to train and bus services
Spray and sudden flooding could lead to difficult driving conditions and some road closures
There is a slight chance that power cuts could occur and other services to some homes and businesses could be lost
Northern Ireland's weekend forecast:
Today: Low cloud across northern and eastern parts will gradually burn back towards the coast through the day. Plenty of sunshine elsewhere, but the risk of a few heavy showers across southwest England. Feeling warm in the sunshine.
Saturday: Morning cloud slowly clearing, then plenty of sunny spells. Turning increasingly hot and humid, giving way to thundery showers by the afternoon. Some localised flooding is possible.
Outlook for Sunday to Tuesday: Staying hot and humid for many through this period, with plenty of sunny spells. The continued risk of some heavy and thundery showers developing. Warm and humid nights.
