Ice and snow continue to cause havoc across Northern Ireland
Many people woke up to a blanket of snow this morning across Northern Ireland.
The Met Office have a yellow weather warning for continued snow and potential lightning until 8pm today. A further warning has been issued today for icy stretches until Friday at 9am.
Overnight showers will turn to rain, but on higher ground it's likely to be sleet or snow.
Clear spells between showers will allow temperatures to drop towards freezing in places, with some icy stretches possible on untreated surfaces.
A number of schools were forced to close for the day, in particular those in the Cookstown and Tyrone area.

Friday: A mainly dry day, sunny spells in the morning and early afternoon then gradually clouding over. Freshening southwesterly winds, turning milder. Maximum temperature 8 °C.
Outlook for Saturday to Monday:Saturday milder, mainly dry but cloudy, strong to gale southerly winds. Overnight rain, then Sunday mainly dry and bright. More rain, wind Sunday night then Monday bright, breezy, rain possible.
Next week: The start of March could see high pressure near, although there could still be some rain at times. The rest of this period is likely to see changeable conditions return, with many areas seeing a mixture of wet and dry weather as well as strong winds at times.
