Cold snap on the way this weekend across Northern Ireland
Winter is coming - the Met Office has warned that a cold snap is on the way for most this weekend.
This is expected to creep into next week also, turning colder again through Monday evening with a return to widespread overnight frosts.
Conditions will also be largely dry, though some rain showers along the east coast could turn to sleet over higher ground.
Met Office Deputy Chief Meteorologist, Dan Harris, said: “Early next week, following a brief more unsettled interlude, we expect to see a return to widely cold but quiet conditions.

Tonight: This evening will be dry. The rest of the night will be dry with clear periods and some patchy cloud. A cold night with a frost. Minimum temperature -2 °C.
Saturday: After a cold start all parts will have a dry day with some spells of sunshine. Maximum temperature 6 °C.
Outlook for Sunday to Tuesday: Cloudy on Sunday with a chance of rain, especially in the south and west. Mainly dry and brighter on Monday and Tuesday.
