Woman injured in east Belfast arson attack

A woman's legs have been burned during an arson attack in Belfast.

A petrol bomb was thrown at a house on Clara Street in the east of the city ar around 11.30pm on Sunday night.

The woman was taken to hospital for treatment to her injuries which are not believed to be life-threatening.

The house sustained smoke damage in the attack.

Detective Sergeant McPhillips would appeal to anyone who may have noticed any suspicious activity in the area to contact Detectives at Reactive and Organised Crime at Musgrave on the non-emergency number 101, quoting reference 1427 14/05/17.
