Thousands without power as Storm Eleanor hits Northern Ireland

Thousands of people across Northern Ireland have been left without power as Storm Eleanor hits on Tuesday night.

The Met Office has warned there could be flooding in some areas along with the potential for flying debris.

An amber weather warning has been issued right across the UK, with winds here expected to hit around 80mph.

The warning states there could be flooding in some areas, as well as the potential for flying debris.

The western coast is expected to be particularly badly affected as well, with a danger to life from objects being swept from the beach onto roads.
