Serious incident in north Belfast as two patients rushed to hospital

A serious incident has taken place in the Ardoyne area of north Belfast.
Two patients have been rushed to hospital, following a 999 call at around 20:16 on Tuesday evening.
The Ambulance service said: “The Northern Ireland Ambulance Service received a 999 call at 20:16 following reports of an incident in the Ardoyne area of North Belfast.
"NIAS despatched a Rapid Response Paramedic and two emergency crews to the scene.
“Following assessment and initial treatment two patients were taken to hospital in Belfast."

SDLP Deputy Leader Nichola Mallon has said her thoughts are with the family at the centre of a major incident in North Belfast on Tuesday night.
The North Belfast MLA said:
“The reports coming out of Ardoyne this evening involving a mother and her two children are highly distressing and have shocked the local community.
"It is important that the PSNI are given the space and full cooperation to fully investigate this terrible incident.
“The SDLP will continue to liaise with police, those affected and the community on the ground as the situation unfolds.
"Our thoughts are with the wider family and we want to thank those residents who assisted the police at the scene tonight."
