It follows the discovery of a suspicious object, which is now being examined by police.
Nearby houses are being evacuated until it's declared safe to return.
A police spokesperson said, “There’s a security alert in Felden Place in Newtownabbey. A suspicious object is being examined by police and a number of nearby homes are being evacuated.”
