Security alert declared in Belfast

Police are at the scene of a security alert in Belfast.

It follows the discovery of a suspicious object at playing fields in Church Road.

Church Road has been closed between Manse Road and Marlborough Heights.

The public are asked to avoid the area.

A police spokesperson said further updates will be provided in due course.
