Police treat east Belfast assault as hate crime

Police are treating an assault in east Belfast as a hate crime.

A man was assaulted by a group of people in the Bloomfield Avenue area at about half past seven on Saturday night, October 21st.

The victim suffered facial injuries which required hospital treatment.

Police are appealing for anyone who was in the area at the time the assault took place to contact them.
