Police examine gun in west Belfast search
Police are examining a suspected firearm found during a search operation on the Upper Springfield Road in Belfast.

The road was closed in both directions on Tuesday but nothing was found.
On Wednesday further searches were carried out.
The suspected weapon was recovered and has been sent for further forensic examination.
The Upper Springfield Road was closed for a number of hours, but later re-opened.
