Police investigating Strabane attack make arrest

The two officers had been on patrol at Mount Carmel Heights when a bomb was detonated at the side of their vehicle

Police investigating the attempted murder of two police officers in Strabane earlier this month have arrested a 58-year old man.

He was detained in the Strabane area under the Terrorism Act on Saturday.

He has been taken to Musgrave Police Station for questioning.

The attempted murder investigation continues and police are appealing to anyone with information to contact them on 101.
