Police investigating deaths of man and woman in Newry

Detectives are probing the sudden deaths of a man and a woman within the past week in Newry.

The deaths happened in the Sandy Street area of the city.

A PSNI spokesperson confirmed they are awaiting the results of post-mortems for a coroner to determine the cause of the deaths.

A man in his 20s lost his life on Sunday evening, whilst a woman - also in her 20s - died on Wednesday evening.
