Police in attendance after suspicious device discovered in north Down

Police are in attendance at the discovery of a suspicious device in north Down.

It's in the Rosevale Avenue area of Newtownards.

A number of nearby homes have been evacuated.

A PSNI spokesperson said: "Officers would ask members of the public to avoid the area at this time.

"Further updates will be provided in due course."
