Police confirm body found at Cavehill that of Dean McIlwaine
A body found at Cavehill in Belfast has been identified as that of missing Newtownabbey man Dean McIlwaine.
The PSNI said they had confirmed it was the 22-year-old and had informed his family.
Dean had last been seen on Thursday 13 July in the Carnmoney Road area of Newtownabbey.
Huge groups of volunteers had joined the search for him, focussing on his hometown and the Belfast area.
A body was discovered in the Cavehill area on Saturday afternoon.
His family took to social media on Sunday night to thank all those who had joined in the searches.
