Police appeal after man is assaulted in Antrim

A man was assaulted and robbed in Antrim town during the early hours of Monday morning.

The 26-year old was walking in an alleyway adjacent to Seacash Drive just before 4 o'clock when he was approached by two men.

The men punched and kicked him, stole his phone and bank card and attempted to withdraw money from a nearby ATM.

A PSNI spokesperson said: "The victim was able to make off from his attackers and contact police.

"The suspects are both described as being in their 20s and slim. One was wearing a black body-warmer and had a tattoo on his left hand. The other was wearing a black jacket and flip flops.
