Pizza delivery driver held at knife-point

A pizza delivery driver has been held at knife-point during a robbery in Ballymena.

The driver was making a delivery in the Lanntara area around 2:30am on Sunday when two men approached him.

One man held a knife to his face and then assaulted him.

They made off with a sum of cash, a pizza hot box and two pizzas.

Detective Sergeant Lyttle said: “The men are described as being in their mid-20s, wearing tracksuits and spoke with local accents.

“Enquiries are continuing and we are appealing to anyone who witnessed anything suspicious in the area to contact Police/detectives in Ballymena on 101, quoting reference number 349 of 28/07/19.”
