Paramedic attacked in Londonderry
A paramedic was attacked by a patient in Londonderry in the early hours of Monday morning.
A man was being taken to Altnagelvin Emergency Department in an ambulance and attacked the paramedic as he got out of the vehicle.
The PSNI were phoned and the man was arrested, with the ambulance crew member left with bruises and scratches on his arms.
The NI Ambulance Service has said their crews are attacked on average more than 8 times a week.
