Pair escape injury after Castlewellan Park plane crash
Couple lucky to be alive after microlight 'miracle'
A couple had a miraculous escape when their plane crashed in Co Down.
The man and woman walked away without serious injury when the microlight aircraft came down in Castlewellan Forest Park yesterday afternoon.
It is understood they suffered cuts and bruises and were treated at the scene. Three fire appliances and PSNI vehicles attended the incident.
The Northern Ireland Ambulance Service tweeted: Following aircraft crash in Castlewellan the two patients, male and female, were discharged at scene following assessment by paramedics.''
