NI SoS 'likely to stay' after Cabinet reshuffle
The Northern Ireland Secretary of State James Brokenshire looks set to stay on in his role after a Cabinet reshuffle.
Mr Brokenshire is due to meet with the Irish Foreign Affairs Minister Charlie Flanagan on Monday, an indication that he may be in Theresa May's plans regardless of the shuffle.
The Prime Minister is set to change the lineup of those in the top posts after she saw her Commons majority vastly reduced on Friday.
Mr Brokenshire has been in the post since last July.
Recently he has come under attack from several parties here, with Sinn Féin in particular saying that he cannot be an independent arbiter of talks aimed at re-establishing the collapsed Stormont Assembly.
They have also said that the DUP's proposed loose alliance with the Conservatives to form a government, will "end in tears."
