Below, Tony has provided three top tips if you're beginning your journey to becoming fitter and healthier this year and beyond.

TIP 1: "There's a horse and a man walking through a forest and a fog drops down. The man panics and say he can't see where he's going and he can't see the end of his journey. The horses asks can he see his next step to which the man replies that he can. The horse replies 'that's all that matters'.

"Just focus on today, don't worry about next month or your end goal. Just focus on laying the next brick as perfectly as you can and your wall will be built over time. That's the foundation."

TIP 2: Just come in and get moving if you've never started before. Try to get that little bit better every day - whether that's with lifting weights, walking or whatever it may be. Always slightly push yourself a bit more. This journey is not meant to be comfortable, so always remember that, to reach your goals, it's about pushing yourself out of your comfort zone."

TIP 3: "If you tell yourself you're going to get up at 7am to go to the gym, even if you really don't want to, because you're either building yourself up or breaking yourself down with how to talk to yourself.

"On top of that, try to get a bit of accountability from a family member or a friend. That way, when things get a bit tough, you have that element of support there."
