New NI weather warning for ice issued by Met Office
The yellow weather warning is in place from five o’clock today
A fresh yellow weather warning for ice has been issued for parts of Northern Ireland as temperatures are set to remain in single digits.
The weather warning is in place from five o’clock today and remains until ten O’clock tomorrow (Friday).
The new Met Office warning covers parts of Belfast, Co Down, Co Antrim and Co Londonderry/Derry.
Wintry showers are expected which will then lead to icy patches developing overnight.
Drivers are expected to come across possible icy patches on some untreated roads.
The same can be said for those walking on pavements and using cycle paths, increasing the chance of injuries and accidents.
