Police are appealing for information following a robbery of commercial premises in south Belfast.

It's reported just before half past 8 last night, a man who's face was covered by a dark scarf went into the business in the vicinity of Ormeau Park, demanding cash.

One member of staff was threatened when she attempted to contact police, before the man made off with a sum of cash towards the city centre.

A PSNI spokesperson said: “The suspect is described as small and thin in stature. He was wearing a dark coat with a blue hooded top underneath and a grey beanie hat.

"Our investigations into the circumstances around this matter have just begun and we would ask anyone who was in the Ormeau Road area at the time or who may have dashcam, CCTV or other footage, to call detectives on 101, quoting reference number 1936 of 10/02/23.”
