Man left with 'puncture wounds' after East Belfast assault
A man in his 30s has been left with puncture wounds after an assault in East Belfast.
Reports of the incident were made to police at around 1.50am on Sunday, at an apartment on the Newtownards Road.
Officers found the wounded man at the scene and he was taken to hospital, although his injuries are not believed to be life threatening.
A 35-year-old woman was arrested at the scene on suspicion of grievous bodily harm with intent.
She is currently being questioned in custody.
Police have appealed for any witnesses to the assault to contact them.
