Man killed in west Belfast hit-and-run

Police are appealing for witnesses after a fatal hit and run in west Belfast.

42-year-old Richard Gerard Boyle, from Dumurry, was struck by a car on the Stewartstown Road at around 10:20pm on Friday evening.

The vehicle is reported to have left the scene, and Mr Boyle was taken to hospital where he passed away.

Inspector Phillip McCullagh is appealing to anyone who was on the Stewartstown Road between 9.30pm and 10.20pm and witnessed the collision, or drivers who may have captured it on their dash cam, to get in touch with Police by calling 101 and quoting reference number 1997 of 05/02/21.
