Man held in Ballymena over '19 burglaries' and six attempts
A man has been arrested in Ballymena over a spate of 19 burglaries and six attempted burglaries.
The crimes were reported at shops, churches and commercial premises in the Co Antrim town in the past six months.
The 42-year-old was detained by police after a search of a house in the town on Saturday.
Detective Constable Graham said: “ The arrest on Saturday morning is a result of a very thorough and protracted ongoing investigation into a large number of burglaries at shops, churches and other commercial premises in Ballymena over recent months.
"The man is currently in custody assisting us with our enquiries as our investigation continues.”
