Man released over Adrian Ismay murder

A 40-year-old man has been released by detectives investigating the murder of prison officer Adrian Ismay.

A 40-year-old man has been released by detectives investigating the murder of prison officer Adrian Ismay, pending a report to the Public Prosecution Service.

The man was questioned at Musgrave Serious Crime Suite, after being detained on Monday morning.

The 52-year-old Mr Ismay suffered serious leg injuries when a booby-trap bomb exploded under the van he was driving in east Belfast in March 2016.

He had been recovering, but died following a return to hospital 11 days later.
