Man dies following Newry collision between a car and a tractor

Police have confirmed a man has died following a two-vehicle crash on Friday morning in Newry.

Just before nine o'clock, a grey Saab car and a tractor were involved in a collision.

The victim died at the scene of the accident on the A1 Northbound.

The PSNI are appealing for witnesses.

A police spokesperson said: "Our enquiries are continuing, and we would appeal to anyone who witnessed the incident, who may have dash-cam footage available or who saw the grey SAAB 93 travelling in the area at the time to contact police on 101, quoting reference number 392 04/11/22.”
