Man dies after incident off the county Down coast

A man has died in Newcastle after 'getting into difficulty' in the sea
Police say they responded to the report of a man in the water in the town's South Promenade area just after 10 o'clock on Wednesday morning.
He was recovered from the water, but despite attempts to revive him, the man died at the scene.
The Northern Ireland Ambulance Service had despatched two emergency crews, two Rapid Response paramedics and the Hazardous Area Response Team to the scene.
