Man charged after two stabbed in Belfast city centre
A 27-year-old-man has been charged following two stabbings in Belfast City Centre early yesterday (Saturday) morning.
Police were alerted at around 1.15am by a member of the public on Bedford Street to a fight going on in the area.
Police attended and found a male with several stab wounds to his head and chest.
The victims injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
The man has been charged with wounding with intent to do grievous bodily harm and possession of an offensive weapon with intent to commit an indictable offence.
He is expected to appear before Belfast Magistrates' Court on Monday, 4th July.
As is usual procedure, all charges will be reviewed by the Public Prosecution Service.
