Man charged in relation to ATM theft

A man has been charged after a police probe into the theft of a cash machine at Nutts Corner in Antrim yesterday.

He is expected to appear before Ballymena Magistrates Court today (Wednesday).

Detective Inspector Richard Thornton said: “Detectives investigating the theft of an ATM at Nutts Corner in the early hours of yesterday (Tuesday 30th April) have charged a 31-year-old man with theft and other offences to appear before Ballymena Magistrates' Court this morning (1 May).

“As is normal procedure the charges will be reviewed by the Public Prosecution Service.

“A second man arrested yesterday, aged 26, remains in custody assisting police with enquiries."
