Man charged over 'death driving' incident

A number of cars were damaged in north Belfast on Boxing Day

A 21 year old man has been charged with a number of offences including burglary, dangerous driving and driving when unfit through drink or drugs.

He's due to appear in Court in Belfast on Thursday.

It follows a number of crashes in the north of the city on Boxing Day. A stolen grey Ford Kuga, was driven recklessly and at speed in the area of the Ardoyne shops and on the Crumlin Road. It collided with four other vehicles, causing damage to a blue Hyundai Getz, a grey Ford Fiesta, a beige Ford Ka and a red Nissan Almera.

A 24 year old man, who was arrested on suspicion of aggravated vehicle-taking and causing injury has been released on police bail, pending further enquiries
